Andy Murray set to compete in French Open, Stuttgart, and Wimbledon tournaments | Tennis updates

Andy Murray, the former world No 1, is set to make a comeback at the French Open after suffering an early exit at the ATP Tour in Geneva. Murray, who had been out injured since late March due to ankle ligament damage, confirmed that he would be sidelined for an extended period.

Despite not opting for surgery, there were concerns that Murray may not be able to participate in his Wimbledon swansong. However, the Scot surprised everyone by making a comeback at a second-tier tournament in Bordeaux, where he was defeated by world No 115 Gregoire Barrer before losing to Yannick Hanfmann at the Geneva Open.

Murray, who is playing with a metal hip, has announced that he is likely to retire this summer. He expressed frustration at being constantly asked about his retirement plans and stated that he does not plan on playing much past this summer.

The tennis star is expected to defend his title at the Surbiton Trophy on grass courts before heading to the Boss Open in Stuttgart. He will then make his final appearance at Wimbledon, where he has had some of his greatest moments in the sport.

Additionally, Murray is considering another crack at the Olympics in Paris, where he has the opportunity to compete in doubles. As the only tennis player to have won back-to-back singles gold medals, Murray’s potential participation in the Paris Olympics could mark the end of his illustrious career.
