Billboard and Telemundo have announced the highly anticipated return of the Billboard Latin Women in Music special for its second edition on June 9 at 9 p.m. ET via Telemundo. The two-hour music special aims to celebrate Latin female artists who are actively working towards positive change, inclusion, and gender parity in the music industry.
Hosted by Mexican actress and TV host Jacqueline Bracamontes, the event will be produced at Telemundo Center in Miami, capturing the essence of Latin culture through dynamic musical showcases and special acknowledgments from leading Latin female artists. The special will also be available for simultaneous streaming on the Telemundo app and Peacock.
Bracamontes, known for her prominent position in Latin American television, has anchored Telemundo’s broadcasts of prestigious events such as Miss Universe, the Billboard Latin Music Awards, and the Latin American Music Awards. She has also hosted programs like the dance competition “Asà se Baila” and starred in the popular primetime series “La Suerte de Loli.”
Last year’s Latin Women in Music event honored influential figures in the Latin music industry, including Shakira as Woman of the Year, Ana Gabriel as Living Legend, Thalia as Global Powerhouse, and more. The recipients for this year’s honors will be revealed at a later date, promising another night of recognition and celebration for Latin female artists making a mark in the industry.
