The Marietta College Pioneer Club Golf Outing is back for its 39th year, with BSN Sports and FieldTurf as presenting sponsors. Scheduled for Friday, July 19 at the Marietta Country Club, the event promises a day of fun and friendly competition on the greens.

Golfers can sign up for $120 per person or $480 per foursome, which includes 18 holes of golf, a cart, golf favors, and refreshments on the course. Young alumni from the classes of 2020-2024 can take advantage of a special discount, playing for just $75 each.

There will be two flights of golf with shotgun starts at 8 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., limited to 20 teams each. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis, so interested participants should sign up soon at tinyurl.com/56pbamad.

In other sports news, the 2024 Summer All-Comer Track Meets are set for June 13 and 20 at Belpre High School. Open to all ages, the event costs $10 per participant for unlimited events. With a rolling schedule and automatic timing, athletes can compete in various track and field events and vie for ribbons.

Additionally, the Williamstown Offensive Skills Basketball Camp will take place from June 17-21 at Williamstown High School. Campers in grades kindergarten through nine can improve their basketball skills under the guidance of experienced coaches.

Lastly, the Wood County Rec Summer Tennis Program will run from June 10 to July 29 at the City Park Courts. Open to boys and girls ages 5-18, the program costs $40 and includes a T-shirt. Scholarships are available, and interested players can sign up online or in person on June 8.
