Announcing the Weekly Award Winners for CUNYAC/HSS Men’s Tennis

Baruch College’s Tuna Nergizoglu has been named the CUNYAC/HSS Men’s Tennis Player of the Week after leading his team to victory in conference matches against John Jay and York. The sophomore from Ankara, Turkey, showcased his skills with impressive wins in both doubles and singles matches. Nergizoglu’s stellar performance helped Baruch secure their 17th CUNYAC regular season title.

On the other hand, John Jay’s Nikita Sadounichy was named the CUNYAC/HSS Men’s Tennis Rookie of the Week. The freshman from Minsk, Belarus, showed his potential by earning his team’s only point in a non-conference match against Ramapo.

Looking ahead, the 2024 CUNYAC/HSS Men’s Tennis Championship is set to take place from April 28 to May 2. The semifinals will be held on Sunday, April 28, followed by the championship match on Thursday, May 2 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.
