Annual sports camp hosted by Bob Cantu makes a comeback

Paso Robles native and PRHS Class of ’92 graduate Bob Cantu is bringing back his popular Basketball Camps for the 28th year. Cantu, who owns Marv’s Pizza and Sports Bar, is excited to continue his camps in Paso Robles and San Luis Obispo.

Having coached at the elite levels of college basketball, Cantu brings a wealth of experience to his camps. He started his coaching career at St. Rose, Mission Prep, Cuesta College, and Cal Poly before moving on to assistant coaching positions at the University of Portland, University of Texas – El Paso, and USC.

During his time as a collegiate coach, Cantu has helped lead teams to five NCAA Tournaments and 10 postseason appearances. He has recruited and coached 14 NBA players and five NBA First Round Draft picks, earning a reputation as one of the nation’s top assistant coaches.

Over the years, Cantu has welcomed over 10,500 campers to his Bob Cantu Basketball Camps in Paso Robles and San Luis Obispo. Marv’s Pizza and Sports Bar is the official sponsor of the camps.
