The University Athletic Association has made a significant addition to the Florida Gators Men’s Tennis Program by hiring Anthony Rossi as the new Associate Head Coach. Rossi, who brings with him a championship coaching and playing pedigree, is set to join Head Coach Adam Steinberg for the upcoming season.
Rossi’s impressive coaching career includes six seasons as the head coach of the VCU Rams, where he led the team to five conference titles and earned multiple Coach of the Year honors. His success at VCU, along with his experience as an assistant coach at Kentucky, makes him a valuable addition to the Gators coaching staff.
“We are very excited about Anthony Rossi joining the Gator family,” said Head Coach Adam Steinberg. “Coach Rossi checked every box in the decision to offer the position of Associate Head Coach. We are fortunate to bring a coach of Anthony’s caliber to Gainesville.”
Rossi, who was a standout player at the University of Kentucky and was named an All-American, is eager to join Gator Nation and contribute to the rich history and tradition of the Florida tennis program. His experience in player development and building a team-first culture will be invaluable as he works with the student-athletes at Florida.
With Rossi’s track record of success and dedication to the sport of tennis, the Gators are poised to make a strong impact in the upcoming season. Gator fans can look forward to seeing the team thrive under the leadership of Rossi and Head Coach Adam Steinberg.
