A 30-year-old Framingham resident was found dead behind a business on Worcester Road (Route 9) on Saturday night, in what authorities suspect to be a homicide. The man, who was an employee of the business, was discovered in the trash area behind the building at 10 p.m. by Framingham police.
The victim had “obvious trauma to his body,” according to a joint press release from Framingham Police Chief Lester Baker and the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office. The case has been referred to the state Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for further investigation into the cause and manner of death.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident or who may have seen anything unusual in the area of 1 Worcester Road to contact Framingham police at 508-532-5923. The investigation is being conducted by the Framingham Police Department, the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, and the Massachusetts State Police.
This marks the second suspicious death reported in Framingham this month, following the discovery of Brooks Hood, 27, of Bridgeport, Connecticut, in a Fenwick Street home on April 10. The cause and manner of death in that case are still under investigation by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
As the community grapples with these tragic events, authorities are working diligently to bring justice to the victims and their families.
