He recommended the book “Ceoltóirí Chualainn: The Band That Changed The Course of Irish Music” by Peadar O’Riada, as well as the music of Louise Gaffney. Mike also shared his love for City Rocker Quarterly, a zine that celebrates Irish culture and nostalgia.

Anna O’Donoghue, Social Media Editor, recounted her recent trip to Dubai, highlighting the mix of modernity and tradition in the city. She also shared her excitement for the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest and her colorful furniture finds at Penneys and HomeSense. Anna’s fashion pick was a black dress from Dunnes with pockets.

Denise O’Donoghue, Digital Features Editor, recommended the book “Funny Story” by Emily Henry and the TV show “Fallout” on Prime Video. She also indulged in a chocolate afternoon tea at The Metropole. Denise shared her love for food, entertainment, and literature in her April highlights.

Des O’Driscoll, Arts/Culture Editor, was captivated by the TV show “Baby Reindeer” on Netflix and the film “That They May Face The Rising Sun,” based on John McGahern’s novel. He also recommended visiting the Crawford Art Gallery in Cork before its renovation, particularly highlighting the exhibition “A Matter of Time.”
