Aptos Labs and Neowiz’s Intella X invest in Supervillain Labs

Supervillain Labs, a Web3 game studio, has secured new funding from Aptos Labs and Neowiz’s Intella X, a Web3 gaming initiative. Both companies have completed an equity investment in Supervillain Labs, showcasing their confidence in the studio’s growth potential and commitment to developing high-quality blockchain-based games.

The investment round was co-led by Intella X and Aptos Labs, with support from leading global investors such as Spartan Capital, Crit Ventures, Presto, and Planetarium Labs. This strategic investment highlights the innovative approach of Supervillain Labs and its dedication to creating immersive gaming experiences in the Web3 space.

Christie Lee, head of Korean partnerships at Aptos Labs, expressed excitement about the partnership, stating, “Supervillain Labs is actively fusing Web2 familiarity with Web3 innovation, showcasing the cutting-edge capabilities of Aptos technology. This collaboration propels us towards a future where gaming and blockchain are indistinguishably linked.”

The capital raised will enable Supervillain Labs to launch a global Web3 gaming platform, leveraging its expertise in blockchain game development. The studio’s upcoming game, Supervillain: Idle RPG, is set to be released in the first half of this year, offering a trust-centric approach within the Web3 space.

Intella X and Supervillain Labs are also exploring further collaborations, including joint gaming projects featuring non-fungible token (NFT) collections and deeper integration within the Intella X ecosystem. These efforts aim to enhance the Web3 ecosystem with innovative experiences and drive mass adoption of Web3 technologies.

Jose Ko, CEO of Intella X, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “We are excited about the unique dynamism Supervillain Labs brings to the blockchain ecosystem. We aim to enhance the Web3 market’s accessibility and enjoyment for all users through our collaboration.”
