Artificial Intelligence Steals the Spotlight at VivaTech 2024, France’s Premier Tech Event

The VivaTech show in Paris is buzzing with excitement as the latest artificially intelligent innovations are unveiled to the public. From bio-printed cells that replicate human skin to prosthetic hands that perfectly mimic our movements, AI is taking center stage at this year’s conference.

Despite the rainy weather, thousands of startups and visitors have gathered at Europe’s largest trade fair for innovation and technology, eager to witness the cutting-edge advancements in AI. This year, the number of European countries participating in the event has increased by 30 percent, showcasing the growing interest in AI technology across the continent.

With more than 3,500 exhibitors from 120 countries, VivaTech is a hub for business exchanges and networking opportunities. According to François Bitouzet, the director of VivaTech, the event aims to uncover the latest trends in tech, facilitate business partnerships, and foster international connections among startups, corporations, governments, and tech leaders.

Japan has been named the country of the year at VivaTech, with about 60 Japanese companies showcasing their innovative technologies at the Japan Pavilion. Tokyo is highlighting SusHi Tech, a concept that combines technology and AI to address environmental and urban challenges.

Tokyo Vice Governor Manabu Miyasaka emphasized the importance of understanding and utilizing AI as a public administration tool to pave the way for a more startup-friendly environment in Japan. With over 150,000 guests expected to attend the 8th edition of VivaTech, the conference promises to be a dynamic platform for exploring the future of AI technology. The event will continue until Saturday, 25 May, with the final day open to the public.
