ASU student entrepreneurs secure cash investments for ventures during Demo Day

Arizona State University student entrepreneurs celebrated big wins at Venture Devils, with over $250,000 in cash investments awarded to innovative ventures. Uzoma Ndulue, a graduate student in industrial design, took home $25,000 for her fashion company, Good Road Collection. Ndulue expressed gratitude for the support she found in Venture Devils, emphasizing the importance of having an African fashion brand.

Edward Lee, CEO of Tradies, a social networking platform for students, also won $15,000. Reflecting on the journey, Lee shared how a previous setback had initially destroyed their confidence, but they persevered and presented their venture proudly on stage.

Tristan Tierce, founder of Allergy Voyage, which hosts restaurant menus for people with food allergies, won $15,000. Tierce, who is graduating this semester, highlighted the significance of being part of Venture Devils throughout his four years at ASU.

The winners in the Edson Student Entrepreneur Initiative funding track included Legion Platforms, 10 Shots of Soju, Illumishade, Streamline, and more, with cash prizes ranging from $5,000 to $25,000. Other challenges like the Edson E+I Social Impact Venture Challenge and the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Venture Challenge also awarded cash prizes to deserving ventures.

The event showcased the entrepreneurial spirit and dedication of ASU students, staff, faculty, and alumni, with Venture Devils providing not only financial support but also mentorship and space for growth. The success of these student entrepreneurs serves as a testament to the thriving innovation ecosystem at ASU.
