The Israel-Hamas conflict continues to escalate with both sides exchanging fire and launching attacks in the region. The latest developments from the war have left many civilians dead and injured, adding to the already high toll of casualties.
In a recent airstrike by Russian forces in Selydove, eastern Ukraine, a fifty-three-year-old man and a thirteen-year-old boy lost their lives. The attack also resulted in a 73-year-old woman sustaining multiple injuries. The airstrike targeted a residential area, damaging several houses and a nearby shop.
Additionally, Russian forces also hit the village of Oleksijevo-Druzhkivka, injuring seven people, including a 4-year-old child. The attack caused extensive damage to over 100 houses, twelve cars, and a church in the village.
The conflict between Russia and Ukraine has intensified, with both sides repelling each other’s attacks in various regions. The Ukrainian Armed Forces reported 108 confrontations in the past 24 hours, with the most intense fighting in the Pokrovske direction.
Meanwhile, EU Defence Ministers met in Brussels to discuss military aid for Ukraine. There were discussions about whether Ukraine should be allowed to use weapons provided by the EU or NATO against targets in Russia. The EU’s training mission for Ukrainian soldiers is progressing as planned, with 60,000 soldiers expected to be trained by the end of the summer.
As the conflict in the region shows no signs of abating, the international community continues to monitor the situation closely and provide support to those affected by the ongoing violence.
