The final Athlete of the Week poll for the 2023-24 school year is here, and the competition is fierce. Nominees have been selected based on scores and stats provided by Lee County’s coaches, and readers can now cast their votes online to determine the winner. The poll will close at 10 a.m. on Thursday, so make sure to get your votes in before then.

Last week, Bishop Verot baseball player Joey Lawson took home the title with an impressive 62% of the vote. Who will emerge victorious this time around?

The winner will be announced on the @newspresssports Instagram page and on Twitter at @nphssports. In addition to bragging rights, the winning athlete will also receive a shirt courtesy of BSN Sports.

This week’s nominees include standout performers from various sports, including boys track, girls track, and baseball. From Colin Meagher of Canterbury to McKenzie Travis of ECS, the competition is tough in every category.
