Xavier men’s tennis faced a tough battle in the BIG EAST Quarterfinals, ultimately falling 4-0 to No. 3 seed Georgetown. The Musketeers wrapped up their 2024 dual season with a 4-18 record, showing resilience and determination throughout the challenging season.

The match started with doubles play, where the Hoyas secured an early lead by winning on the No. 2 court and then clinching the point with another victory on court No. 3. In singles competition, Georgetown continued to dominate, with wins on the No. 2 and No. 4 courts, bringing the score to 3-0 in their favor.

Despite a weather delay, the Hoyas maintained their momentum and sealed the victory with a final win on the No. 1 court, ending the match at 4-0. The Xavier team fought hard, but Georgetown’s strong performance proved too much to overcome.

The Musketeers showed determination and sportsmanship throughout the match, highlighting their resilience and teamwork on the court. While the outcome was not what they had hoped for, Xavier can be proud of their efforts and the progress they made throughout the season.
