Massachusetts senior Danielle Hack has been named the Atlantic 10 Women’s Tennis Most Outstanding Performer, while her coach, Juancarlos Nunez, was voted A-10 Coach of the Year. Fordham freshman Anlin Xie and VCU freshman Tiziana Rossini shared Co-Rookie of the Year honors in the recent announcement of women’s tennis awards by the league.

Hack, hailing from Surrey, England, had an impressive 21-7 record for the year, including a 14-6 mark playing at flight No. 1 for the Minutewomen. She also excelled in doubles, with a 12-8 record at No. 1 doubles alongside partner Thamonpan Jonglertrakul. Hack’s outstanding performance contributed to UMass’s 15-8 record and their third A-10 Championship title.

Xie, from Markham, Ontario, boasted a 19-7 overall record and an 11-4 record in dual singles matches, primarily playing at No. 3 and No. 4. Rossini, a native of Buenos Aires, Argentina, had a strong season with a 14-4 record in singles and a notable run of six straight wins in doubles during the spring season.

Nunez, in his seventh season coaching the Minutewomen, led the team to a 15-8 overall record and their third A-10 title. Under his guidance, three UMass players received All-Conference honors, and the team secured a spot in the NCAA Tournament and the Fall ITA Super Regionals.

The Atlantic 10 Women’s Tennis End-of-Season Awards also recognized other standout players, coaches, and academic achievers in the conference, highlighting the talent and dedication within the league.
