Atlantic Health System Partners with FeelBetter to Improve Polypharmacy Patient Management
Atlantic Health System has recently announced a groundbreaking partnership with FeelBetter, a technology startup focused on personalized medication management for polypharmacy patients. Polypharmacy patients, who use five or more medications simultaneously, often face challenges with medication management that can lead to poor health outcomes and increased healthcare costs.
FeelBetter, founded in 2018 and based in Tel Aviv and Boston, offers a personalized medication management platform designed to address the growing public health concern among senior patients. CEO Liat Primor highlighted the flaws in the U.S. healthcare system’s medication management protocols, which result in hundreds of thousands of deaths and avoidable costs each year.
The partnership between Atlantic Health System and FeelBetter will see the deployment of the startup’s platform across the health system’s accountable care organizations (ACOs) in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. The platform will help identify high-risk patients and suggest actionable interventions to reduce the risk of hospitalization due to suboptimal medication management.
Primor emphasized that FeelBetter’s technology goes beyond a single point in time or disease, providing a comprehensive view of each patient’s health journey. The platform will enable clinicians to monitor patients’ progress and measure the impact of interventions, ultimately improving resource allocation and reducing preventable hospitalizations.
With a focus on value-based care, FeelBetter aims to help healthcare providers enhance patient outcomes and increase the capacity of clinical pharmacists. The partnership with Atlantic Health System marks a significant step towards revolutionizing medication management and improving care for polypharmacy patients.
