Austin Reaves seemingly takes a dig at Darvin Ham on social media

Reading Time: < 1 minute

The Los Angeles Lakers have been in turmoil after being eliminated from the playoffs by the Denver Nuggets for the second consecutive year, resulting in the dismissal of head coach Darvin Ham. Rumblings throughout the season suggested that Ham had lost the locker room due to his lineup choices and poor in-game management.

LeBron James and Anthony Davis publicly expressed their frustrations with Ham, with James throwing a fit on the court over a missed call and Davis stating that the team didn’t know what it was doing in stretches after a Game 2 meltdown against the Nuggets.

With Ham out, the Lakers are now on the hunt for a new head coach who can control the locker room. It seems that players like Austin Reaves also had issues with Ham, as Reaves liked a post on Instagram showing one of Ham’s questionable clipboard messages to the team.

In the video, Ham can be heard telling the players to “contest without fouling,” a message that was written on the clipboard during a timeout. This incident highlights the frustration the players felt throughout the season.

The next head coach will need to find ways to gain the trust and support of the players to avoid a similar fate as Ham. The Lakers are looking for a leader who can bring the team together and guide them to success in the upcoming season.
