The community of Clarksville, Tennessee, is reeling from the tragic death of 23-year-old Army soldier, Pfc. Katia Dueñas Aguilar, whose body was found in a residence near Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Police have ruled her death a homicide and are actively seeking information from the public to help solve the case.

Dueñas Aguilar, a member of the 101st Combat Aviation Brigade, 101st Airborne Division, was set to be laid to rest in Dallas, Texas, with her fellow soldiers expected to attend the funeral. The 101st Airborne Division has pledged its support to her family during this difficult time and is urging anyone with information to come forward.

In a show of solidarity, her family and The League of United Latin American Citizens have offered a reward of $55,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case. The Clarksville Police Department and Army criminal investigators are working together to bring justice for Dueñas Aguilar and her loved ones.

During a news conference in Texas, Dueñas Aguilar’s family made an emotional plea for justice, highlighting her dedication to the Army and her young son. She had enlisted in the active-duty Army in 2018 and had been stationed at Fort Campbell since 2019.

As the investigation continues, the community is coming together to support Dueñas Aguilar’s family and ensure that those responsible for her death are brought to justice.
