Navy Women’s Swimmer Gabi Baldwin Named Third Team Academic All-American

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Gabi Baldwin, a senior women’s swimmer at the United States Naval Academy, has been named a Third Team Academic All-American by the College Sports Communicators. This prestigious honor recognizes Baldwin’s outstanding academic achievements and contributions to the sport of swimming.

Baldwin is the sixth Navy women’s swimmer to receive this accolade, following in the footsteps of past greats like Ellen Bradford. She is also the first Mid and third Patriot League student-athlete to earn the honor during the 2023-24 academic year.

In addition to her academic success, Baldwin has excelled in the pool. She has qualified for the championship final in eight of her nine career individual events at the league meet, earning first-team all-league honors in each of her three years. Baldwin has also won titles in the 200 backstroke and 200 IM, showcasing her versatility and skill as a swimmer.

Off the pool deck, Baldwin boasts an impressive 3.53 cumulative grade-point average as a political science major. She has been named to the Patriot League All-Academic Team three times, demonstrating her commitment to excellence both in and out of the water.

Baldwin’s dedication to her studies and her sport has not gone unnoticed, as she joins a prestigious list of Navy women’s swimmers who have been named CSC Academic All-Americans over the years. Her hard work and determination have truly set her apart as a student-athlete at the highest level.
