Ballard, Jones, and Starks Recognized as ATU’s Outstanding Seniors

Arkansas Tech University recently announced the winners of the institution’s top three undergraduate senior awards for 2024. The honorees were recognized during an awards reception at the Hull Building Student Union.

Breckyn Ballard of Pottsville received the Jill Lestage Brown Service Leadership Award, Braden Jones of Warren received the Alfred J. Crabaugh Award, and Madison Starks of Bigelow received the Margaret Young Award. These outstanding seniors will be recognized during the upcoming commencement ceremony at Tucker Coliseum on May 11.

The Margaret Young Award, presented to the most outstanding senior female undergraduate student, holds special significance as part of the Young family’s legacy at ATU. The Alfred J. Crabaugh Award, presented to the most outstanding senior male undergraduate student, honors a key figure in the university’s history.

Additionally, the Jill Lestage Brown Service Leadership Award recognizes a senior undergraduate student who has demonstrated a commitment to improving society through voluntary service.

The reception also featured the recognition of ATU’s Who’s Who students for 2024, highlighting individuals who have excelled academically, shown leadership, and contributed to the community during their time at the university.
