Bangladesh cruise to six-wicket win over Zimbabwe in 2nd T20I BAN vs ZIM

Bangladesh continued their dominance over Zimbabwe in the T20I series with a convincing six-wicket win in the second match in Chittagong. Towhid Hridoy was the star of the show, top-scoring with 37 runs to guide the hosts to victory and take a 2-0 lead in the five-match series.

Despite some inspirational bowling from Zimbabwe, Bangladesh managed to chase down the target of 139 with ease, finishing on 142-4 in 18.3 overs. The hosts were cruising at 56-1 before rain interrupted play, but Hridoy and Mahmudullah Riyad steadied the ship with a crucial partnership to deny Zimbabwe any chance of a comeback.

Debutant Johnathan Campbell impressed for Zimbabwe, scoring 45 off 24 balls in his first T20I match, the highest-ever score by a Zimbabwean debutant in the format. However, it was not enough to prevent Bangladesh from securing another victory.

Bangladesh’s bowlers also played a crucial role in restricting Zimbabwe to 138-7, with Taskin Ahmed and Rishad Hossain picking up two wickets each.

The series now moves to the third match, which will be held at the same ground on Tuesday. Bangladesh will be looking to continue their winning streak and wrap up the series, while Zimbabwe will be hoping to bounce back and keep their hopes alive.
