Barron Trump enjoys offering his father political advice, reveals President Trump

Former President Donald Trump revealed in a recent interview that his 18-year-old son, Barron Trump, is showing interest in politics and even gives him advice on his moves. In a conversation with Philadelphia’s Talk Radio 1210 WPHT, Mr. Trump shared that Barron, a high school senior, is a “great student” who is actively engaged in political discussions.

The news comes shortly after the Republican National Convention (RNC) announced that Barron would serve as a delegate from Florida at this year’s convention. Alongside his younger brother, Eric Trump, and older brother, Donald Trump Jr., Barron was set to represent the state. However, former First Lady Melania Trump later clarified that Barron would not be participating due to prior commitments.

As the RNC approaches in July in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, delegates will vote on the Republican nominee based on primary election results. With Mr. Trump being the presumptive nominee and having no GOP opponents, his candidacy is almost certain.

Mr. Trump also mentioned that Barron, who recently turned 18, is currently deciding on which college to attend. The decision is influenced by the ongoing anti-war protests on college campuses, with more than a thousand protesters being arrested amid demonstrations related to Israel’s conflict in Gaza.

Despite his busy schedule, Mr. Trump made time to attend Barron’s high school graduation, thanks to a favorable ruling from Judge Juan Merchan overseeing his hush money trial. The trial recently adjourned for the weekend after intense testimony from Stormy Daniels, and Judge Merchan rejected a mistrial motion from Mr. Trump’s defense team. The judge also denied a request to lift the gag order on Mr. Trump, preventing him from responding to Ms. Daniels’ taunts on social media.
