Donald Trump’s youngest son, Barron, has been selected to serve as a Florida delegate nominating his father as the Republican presidential candidate at the party’s national convention. The 18-year-old, who will graduate from high school next week, will join his siblings in this role at the convention in Milwaukee between 15 and 18 July.

Barron, who has largely stayed out of the political spotlight, will be one of Florida’s 41 at-large delegates, according to state party chairman Evan Powers. He will be alongside his brothers, Donald Trump Jr and Eric Trump, as well as his sister Tiffany Trump, in representing Florida at the convention.

While Barron steps into the political sphere with this new role, his eldest sister Ivanka Trump has announced that she will not be part of her father’s 2024 presidential bid. The Florida delegation, which includes grassroots leaders, elected officials, and Trump family members, is gearing up to win big in the upcoming election, according to Mr. Evans.

Despite facing legal challenges, including a recent criminal trial where Trump was accused of hush money payments to Stormy Daniels, the former president remains confident in his chances of defeating Joe Biden in November. Trump’s dedication to his family was evident when he demanded a break in court proceedings to attend Barron’s graduation ceremony, and now he is set to headline a political fundraiser on the same day in Minnesota.

With Barron’s unexpected entry into the political arena and Trump’s continued involvement in the upcoming election, the Trump family remains a prominent figure in US politics.
