Gladstone High School senior Rylee Gerow made a big decision on Wednesday that will shape her future. The talented softball player signed her letter of intent to play for Bay College, solidifying her commitment to the sport she loves.
Gerow, who has been playing softball since she was a little kid, expressed her excitement about continuing her athletic career at the collegiate level. She was a key player on the 2019 Gladstone Little League softball team that won a state championship and came close to reaching the Little League World Series.
Throughout her high school career, Gerow has been a standout player for Gladstone, helping the team secure three district championships and a regional title in 2023. Her impressive stats, including a .364 batting average, six doubles, two home runs, and 34 RBI, highlight her skill and dedication to the sport.
Beyond softball, Gerow plans to study special education at Bay College before transferring to another school. Her passion for helping others, cultivated through volunteering at the Learning Center, has led her to pursue a career in this field.
Gladstone head coach Rick Pepin praised Gerow for her hard work and leadership both on and off the field. He described her signing with Bay College as a well-deserved accomplishment that reflects the time and effort she has put into the sport.
As Gerow prepares to embark on this new chapter in her life, she is grateful for the support of her family, coaches, and teammates who have helped her reach this milestone. Her determination and talent have set her on a path to success both in softball and in her future endeavors.
