The Blue Earth Area Buccaneers’ girls’ golf team continues to dominate the competition this season, remaining undefeated in their matches. In their recent meet against the Truman/Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Martin Luther Jaguars, the Bucs showcased their talent and depth by sweeping the top six spots on the leaderboard.
Leading the charge was Katelyn Storbeck, who claimed medalist honors with a stellar round of 42 on the par-35 course. Her consistent play and five consecutive pars secured a three-stroke victory. Rylan Storbeck followed closely behind in second place with a score of 45, while Payten Gudahl finished third with a 47.
The rest of the team, including Madison Ehrich, McKinley Hanson, and Lola Lundquist, all contributed solid scores to secure the team’s victory over T/GHEC/ML.
In the boys’ competition, despite Gavin Kester of the Jaguars earning medalist honors, the Bucs emerged victorious with a 37-stroke margin. Eli Blagg and Max Loge led the team with impressive performances, tying for second place with scores of 41.
The Blue Earth Area golf teams also competed in the Big South Division meets, with the girls winning their meet and the boys tying for third place. The girls’ team dominated the competition, with Katelyn Storbeck once again claiming medalist honors.
