The Dalles High senior, Henry Begay, achieved a significant milestone in his basketball career by signing a letter of intent to attend Blue Mountain Community College in Pendleton. Begay, who has dreamt of playing college basketball since he was a child, expressed his excitement about this opportunity.
“I’m glad that it’s finally happening,” said Begay. “My plan is to play at Blue Mountain for two years and then transfer to another college to continue playing basketball for another two years.”
Accompanied by family and friends, Begay celebrated his signing with Blue Mountain at The Dalles High School. He will be joining the Timberwolves under the guidance of Coach Doug Baxter.
During his time at The Dalles High School, Begay showcased his skills on the court, averaging 15 points, 11 rebounds, and seven assists per game as a point guard. He scored over 1,000 points throughout his high school career and was a standout player in the Tri-Valley Conference.
