Beneil Dariush named recipient of the 2024 Forrest Griffin Community Award

Beneil Dariush, a UFC fighter known for his skills in the octagon, has now been recognized for his charitable efforts outside of the ring. Dariush has been named the 2024 Forrest Griffin Community Award winner, an honor bestowed upon him by UFC CEO Dana White.

The Forrest Griffin Community Award is given out annually as part of the International Fight Week honors and recognizes fighters for their philanthropic work. Dariush was selected for his dedication to the Shlama Foundation and Promise Child Ministries, organizations that focus on humanitarian aid and community projects.

White praised Dariush for his commitment to giving back to his community and using his platform to raise awareness for important causes. Dariush, who is Assyrian American and a devout Christian, has been actively involved with both organizations for several years, raising funds and awareness for their missions.

In response to the announcement, Dariush expressed his gratitude and humility, thanking the UFC and Dana White for the honor. He will be the fifth recipient of the Forrest Griffin Community Award, joining the ranks of past winners such as Dustin Poirier and Max Holloway.

Dariush will be honored during the Hall of Fame induction ceremony in Las Vegas and will receive a $25,000 donation to the charity of his choice. His dedication to making a positive impact in the world both inside and outside of the octagon is truly commendable.
