Benjamin Netanyahu declares Israel will invade Rafah despite U.S. objections

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on Monday that there is a set date for Israeli Defense Forces to invade Rafah, despite objections from the United States. Netanyahu stated that entering Rafah and eliminating terrorist battalions is crucial for achieving victory over Hamas.

The Biden administration has expressed concerns over a potential invasion of Rafah, warning that it could lead to a humanitarian disaster. The accidental IDF strike last week that resulted in the deaths of seven World Central Kitchen workers has only heightened these concerns.
