Benjamin Netanyahu: Israel Retains Right to Defend Itself

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has made it clear that his country will not hesitate to protect itself after Iran’s recent attack. Iran launched over 300 drones and missiles at Israel over the weekend, but most of them were intercepted, causing minimal damage.

In response to the attack, the Israeli military has vowed to retaliate, sparking a diplomatic flurry in the region. Israel’s allies in Washington and Brussels have pledged to increase sanctions against Iran, while British Foreign Secretary David Cameron and German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock visited Israel to offer support and advice.

Netanyahu emphasized that Israel will make its own decisions on how to respond to the attack, despite the suggestions and advice from the visiting ministers. He stated, “we will reserve the right to protect itself.”

Meanwhile, tensions in the region continue to escalate, with Iran threatening a severe response to any retaliation from Israel. The conflict has also spilled over into Gaza, where deadly strikes have been ongoing, further complicating the situation.

As the situation unfolds, the international community is closely monitoring the developments and working towards a peaceful resolution. The United States, European Union, and other allies are considering further sanctions against Iran, while efforts to reach a truce in Gaza have so far been unsuccessful.

The world is watching as the situation in the Middle East remains volatile, with the potential for further escalation looming large.
