U.S. News & World Report has released its highly anticipated annual rankings of the Best High Schools in the nation, providing valuable insights into the quality of education across the country. With data on nearly 25,000 public high schools, the report offers a comprehensive look at the top-performing schools in each state and the District of Columbia.

Among the key findings of the report, it was revealed that 11.5% of the ranked public high schools were charter schools, while 4.4% were magnet schools. Schools were evaluated on six key factors, including college readiness, state assessment proficiency, and graduation rate, with each factor weighted accordingly.

Leading the list were Florida and Arizona, with 12 high schools each in the top 100, followed closely by California with 11 schools in the top rankings. In Georgia, the Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science and Technology in Lawrenceville emerged as the top high school in the state, boasting impressive statistics such as a 99% graduation rate and high proficiency in mathematics and science.

The report also highlighted the top schools in various districts, including Atlanta Public Schools, Cherokee County High Schools, Cobb County School District, DeKalb County, Fayette County, Forsyth County, Fulton County, and Gwinnett County. Each district had standout schools that excelled in different areas, showcasing the diversity and excellence of education in Georgia.
