Biden and Trump deliver contrasting Easter messages

Former President Donald Trump and current President Joe Biden both took to social media to wish Americans a happy Easter, but their messages couldn’t have been more different.

Mr. Biden’s message was short and sweet, wishing everyone a happy Easter and God’s blessings. On the other hand, Mr. Trump’s message, posted on his social media platform Truth Social, included a scathing attack on those he believes are trying to undermine him.

In a lengthy post, Mr. Trump wished everyone a happy Easter but also took the opportunity to criticize DOJ special counsel Jack Smith and Georgia attorney Fani Willis, whom he referred to as “crooked and corrupt prosecutors and judges.” He accused them of trying to interfere with the 2024 presidential election and put him in prison.

The former president’s message drew attention from Republicans, who criticized President Biden for recognizing Trans Visibility Day on Easter Sunday. The day, created by transgender activist Rachel Crandall, falls on March 31 every year.

President Biden’s statement in support of transgender rights on Trans Visibility Day further fueled the divide between the two political parties, with the far right expressing their disapproval.

As the political landscape continues to be divided, the messages from both presidents on Easter Sunday highlight the stark differences in their approaches and priorities.
