Steubenville High School’s baseball team pulled off a thrilling comeback victory against Edison on Tuesday night at the Crimson Complex in Steubenville. Trailing for most of the game, the Big Red boys found themselves down 5-4 in the bottom of the seventh inning.

With the bases loaded and one out, Cal Beadling stepped up to the plate for Steubenville. A bases-loaded walk had already tied the game at 5-5, setting the stage for Beadling’s heroics. On a 3-1 pitch, Beadling delivered a clutch hit up the middle, driving in the winning run and securing a 6-5 victory for the Big Red.

The walk-off win marked the team’s seventh victory in nine games, adding to their successful season so far. Despite some defensive errors and missed opportunities earlier in the game, Steubenville showed resilience and determination in the final inning.

Both teams battled hard throughout the game, with Edison making a late push to take the lead in the sixth inning. However, Steubenville’s offense came through when it mattered most, delivering key hits and capitalizing on scoring opportunities.

The game was a testament to the competitive spirit and never-say-die attitude of both teams. With the win, Steubenville looks ahead to their upcoming cross-river rivalry matchup with Weir, aiming to continue their winning streak and build on their momentum.
