Bill Barr vows to vote for Trump over ‘unfit’ Biden in response to insults

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Former Attorney General Bill Barr made headlines today with his surprising announcement that he will be voting for former President Donald Trump in the upcoming 2024 presidential election. Despite being a vocal critic of Trump since leaving his administration in 2020, Barr cited his belief that Trump would do less damage than President Biden, whom he deemed “unfit for office.”

In an interview with CNN anchor Kaitlan Collins, Barr expressed his concerns about the progressive movement and the Biden administration, stating that he believes they pose a greater threat to democracy than Trump. This endorsement comes as a shock to many, considering Barr’s previous criticisms of Trump’s behavior and legal troubles.

Trump, in response to Barr’s endorsement, took to Truth Social to mock his former attorney general, calling him “Weak, Slow Moving, Lethargic, Gutless, and Lazy.” However, after Barr’s announcement, Trump amended his statement, removing the word “Lethargic” and expressing his gratitude for the endorsement.

Despite the public back-and-forth between the two men, Barr remains firm in his decision to support Trump in the upcoming election. When pressed by Collins about Trump’s insults, Barr simply shrugged them off, stating that his choice is based on who he believes will do the least damage to the country.

The unexpected endorsement from Barr has sparked a debate among political analysts and voters alike, with many questioning the former attorney general’s motives and the implications of his decision on the 2024 presidential race.
