This week, we explored the world of wine, fine dining, and other exciting business news. One of the highlights was my visit to Bingham Family Vineyards and Bingham Family Farms near Meadow. The family shared the rich history of the land, which has transitioned from cotton to peanuts to now producing exceptional wines. They recently launched a new wine in memory of Blake Eddie Bingham, with proceeds going towards the Blake Eddie Scholarship to support viticulture and enology students at Texas Tech University and Texas A&M.

Cliff Bingham, Blake’s father and owner of the vineyards and farms, expressed his belief that Blake would be proud of the impact the scholarship is making. The article delves deeper into how Blake Eddie’s legacy continues to make a difference and explores the family’s longstanding connection to the land and the Texas wine industry.

In other news, Chez Sami / Il Dolce Far Niente announced the closure of their Wolfforth location, with the final meal scheduled for June 15. However, their Lubbock location remains unaffected by the closure. Additionally, The Rollin’ Cones, an ice cream truck, revealed plans to open a storefront and drive-thru at the former Tom & Bingo’s BBQ location on 34th St. in August or September.

Lastly, Twisted Root is offering a special deal on National Hamburger Day, with $7 Classic Burgers available at their 116 W. Loop 289 Access Road location on Tuesday.
