In a conversation with news agency PTI, Boney Kapoor emphasized the importance of content in a film’s success, stating that while a superstar can guarantee potential business, the ultimate success depends on the quality of the film. He commended Ajay Devgn for his versatility and dedication to his craft, comparing him to legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan in terms of longevity.

Kapoor also mentioned that Ajay Devgn’s ability to adapt to various roles sets him apart from other actors. He praised Devgn for his diverse filmography and predicted that he would continue to be a prominent figure in the industry even in his ’80s.

The producer is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming film “Maidaan,” starring Ajay Devgn in the lead role. The period sports drama, directed by Amit Ravindranath Sharma, is based on the true story of Syed Abdul Rahim, a renowned football coach and manager of the Indian football team in the 1950s and 60s.
