Boys Tennis Loses to Duxbury and Seeks Redemption in Home Match

In a hard-fought match on Monday, the Hingham Harbormen tennis team faced off against the formidable Duxbury Dragons, ultimately falling short with a 1-4 loss. Despite the outcome, the match showcased the team’s resilience and determination as they battled against one of their toughest opponents.

The doubles teams put up a strong fight, with close sets that demonstrated their potential for success in future matches. Although the first doubles team of Liam Arnold and Evan Lynch, as well as the second doubles team of Logan Price and Teddy Reilly, were unable to push a third set, they displayed great energy and skill on the court.

On the singles side, Parker Schultz secured a win in his first set, showcasing his strength and determination against a formidable opponent. Ethan Warhaftig continued his successful season by winning his match in two sets, with a dominant performance in the second set.

Despite facing tough competition, Eric Li showed resilience and composure in his match, highlighting his growth and improvement throughout the season.

Looking ahead, Coach Gill emphasized the importance of finishing matches strong and minimizing errors, especially against top-tier teams like Duxbury. The team remains focused on their upcoming rematch and the tournament ahead, with a determination to continue improving and achieving their goals.
