Cathedral Prep’s Boys Tennis Team Heads to PIAA State Tournament
The Cathedral Prep boys tennis team is gearing up for the PIAA boys tennis tournament this weekend at the Hershey Racquet Club. The team, consisting of three talented players, is set to serve and volley against tough competition in the Class 2A bracket.
Last weekend, the Ramblers made history as only the second boys team from District 10 to compete in a state team tennis final. Although they fell short of clinching the title, the players are determined to make their mark in the upcoming tournament.
Jonah Ng, Gavin Ferretti, and James Casella, key starters for the Ramblers, are looking to build on their success as the district’s 2A champions for singles and doubles. Ng, a junior at Cathedral Prep, is a force to be reckoned with in the singles bracket, having previously finished fourth in state play.
Ferretti and Casella, both integral members of the team, will be competing in the doubles bracket, aiming to showcase their skills and teamwork on the court. The duo will face tough opponents but are determined to make a strong showing in the tournament.
As the players prepare for their matches this weekend, the Cathedral Prep boys tennis team is ready to take on the challenge and represent their school with pride. With their talent, determination, and teamwork, they are poised to make a splash in the PIAA state tournament. Stay tuned for updates on their progress as they compete for glory on the tennis court.
