Boston Celtics President Brad Stevens Wins NBA Executive of the Year Award

The Boston Celtics have been dominating the NBA this season with a remarkable 64-18 record, positioning themselves as the team to beat in the Eastern Conference. A big part of their success can be attributed to the exceptional work of team president Brad Stevens, who has just been honored with the NBA Executive of the Year award.

According to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, Stevens clinched the prestigious award, leaving Sam Presti of the Oklahoma City Thunder and Tim Connelly of the Minnesota Timberwolves trailing behind in second and third place, respectively.

Stevens made some bold moves during the offseason after the Celtics fell short in the previous season, losing in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals to the Miami Heat. He traded fan favorite Marcus Smart to the Memphis Grizzlies and acquired Kristaps Porzingis and Jrue Holiday, both of whom have seamlessly integrated into the team and played pivotal roles in their success.

Porzingis was part of a three-team deal that saw Smart heading to the Grizzlies, while Holiday was acquired in exchange for Robert Williams III, Malcolm Brogdon, and two first-round picks. These trades have paid off tremendously for the Celtics, propelling them to the top of the Eastern Conference standings.
