The Golden State Warriors may have had a disappointing season, but they found a bright spot in rookie Brandon Podziemski. Despite the team’s struggles with injuries and a poorly constructed roster, Podziemski emerged as a key player in Steve Kerr’s rotation, even starting 28 games for the team.
His contributions did not go unnoticed, as he was recently named to the All-Rookie First Team. Podziemski expressed his excitement about this achievement, stating that it was a goal of his coming into the season.
Throughout his rookie campaign, Podziemski showcased his versatility on both ends of the floor, averaging 9.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game. He also had standout performances, including a game with 14 assists, one with five steals, and an 11-rebound game.
While the Warriors’ future may be uncertain, Podziemski looks to be a promising piece for the team moving forward. Despite not being the flashiest player, he has proven to be a reliable contributor who can make an impact on a nightly basis.
As the Warriors navigate their way through the offseason, Podziemski’s development and growth will be something to keep an eye on as they look to bounce back from a disappointing season.
