Kelly Clarkson’s ex-husband Brandon Blackstock is fighting back against her latest lawsuit, arguing that it should be dismissed. The 41-year-old singer and talk show host filed a suit claiming that Brandon should pay her more than the $2.6 million that a California labor commissioner ruled he owed her for illegally acting as an unlicensed talent agency since 2007.

Despite Kelly winning the case after an oral agreement with Brandon’s family’s company Starstruck Entertainment, documents revealed by Page Six show that Brandon has denied all allegations made by Kelly. He argues that the filing should be dismissed because the labor commissioner’s ruling was made in November 2023 and Kelly failed to file a notice of appeal within the required timeframe.

Kelly filed the lawsuit against Brandon in March, alleging that he and Starstruck Entertainment violated California’s Talent Agencies Act by procuring employment for her without a license. The legal battle between the former couple has been ongoing since their split in 2020, with Starstruck previously suing Kelly for unpaid commissions.

The dispute over Kelly’s multi-million dollar fortune has escalated, with both parties seeking financial compensation. Brandon’s lawyer has defended his client, stating that it is unfair to try to reclaim money from an ex-husband who supported Kelly and their children during their marriage.

The legal drama between Kelly and Brandon continues to unfold as they navigate the complexities of their divorce and financial disputes.
