The weekend weather forecast brings mild temperatures, but Saturday will have some interesting developments. A deepening low to the north will bring a cold front through in the late afternoon and early evening. Before the front arrives, strong winds out of the south could reach over 40 mph, leading to a Wind Advisory and elevated fire danger for the western part of the state. Red Flag Warnings are in place for the western third of the state due to the windy conditions.

As the front passes through, isolated storms could form along it, mainly east of I-35. Some of these storms may bring gusty winds and small hail, prompting the Storm Prediction Center to issue a Marginal Risk for our area.

Tonight, expect partly cloudy skies with a low of 55 and continued strong winds out of the southeast. Saturday will start mostly sunny, with highs reaching 78 thanks to the strong southerly winds. The afternoon could see isolated storms along and east of I-35, with most of the activity expected between 5:00 PM and 10:00 PM.

Sunday will be sunny with a high of 75, and the eclipse on Monday remains a challenging forecast due to potential storm development. Rainy weather is expected through Wednesday, with some areas possibly seeing up to 2″ of rainfall. Despite the rain, temperatures will remain near average in the upper 60s and low 70s.
