In a heartwarming revelation, actor Brian Austin Green shared the key rule he and ex-wife Megan Fox follow as co-parents to their three sons – Noah, Bodhi, and Journey. The 50-year-old actor emphasized that the number one rule for them is to always prioritize the well-being and experience of their children above all else.
Speaking to E! News, Brian explained, “The number one [rule] is always make sure that everything is centered around the experience of the kids. People make a mistake of thinking that they’re gonna do things so the separation doesn’t affect the kids, and of course, it’s gonna affect the kids. The only choice you have is how it affects the kids.”
Acknowledging the challenges of co-parenting after a separation, Brian highlighted the importance of choosing battles wisely and focusing on the children’s needs. He emphasized that the dynamic of co-parenting is entirely different from being in a romantic relationship, urging parents to shift their mindset towards collaboration for the sake of their kids.
Despite their past differences, Brian and Megan have managed to maintain a respectful and amicable co-parenting relationship since their divorce in 2020. The couple, who were married from 2010, have openly discussed their commitment to putting their children first and working together as a team.
Megan, in a recent podcast appearance, reflected on her past mistakes in the relationship and admitted to not being a great girlfriend to Brian. She also confessed to developing feelings for co-stars while they were together, attributing it to her young age and lack of freedom to explore single life.
Through their transparency and dedication to co-parenting, Brian Austin Green and Megan Fox continue to set a positive example for separated parents navigating the complexities of raising children together.
