Bryant and Jones Honored as Co-Entrepreneurs of the Year

Terry Bryant, co-owner of Jones Bros. Dirt and Paving Contractors, was recently named Co-Entrepreneur of the Year by the Odessa Chamber of Commerce. Bryant, along with his business partner Ronnie Jones, received this prestigious award at a special banquet ceremony held at the Odessa Marriott Hotel and Conference Center.

Despite initially thinking it was a joke, Bryant expressed his gratitude for the honor, stating, “I thought it was a joke. I said ‘who is this?’ but I’m very honored.” Unfortunately, Jones was unable to attend the ceremony due to scheduling conflicts, but Bryant assured that his partner was equally thrilled about the recognition.

Jones Bros. Dirt and Paving Contractors, founded in 1952 by Barney and Earl Jones, has had a significant impact on the community over the years. The company, which employs around 300 individuals, has been involved in various city, county, and highway projects in the Permian Basin.

Bryant, who took over the business in 2005, has continued the legacy of excellence set by the Jones brothers. He highlighted the importance of their work with the Texas Department of Transportation and their contributions to the local infrastructure.

In addition to Bryant and Jones, other individuals were also honored at the ceremony, including new inductees into the Business Hall of Fame. The Odessa Chamber of Commerce President, Renee Earls, commended Bryant and Jones for their dedication to the community and their outstanding business achievements.
