Bryant University to Host 38th World Trade Day on Supply Chain Resiliency

SMITHFIELD, RI – Bryant University is gearing up to host the 38th World Trade Day on Wednesday, May 22 at its campus in Smithfield, RI. Presented by the John H. Chafee Center for International Business at Bryant University, this year’s theme is “Supply Chain Resiliency.” To register for the full day event, interested participants can visit WorldTradeDay.Bryant.edu.

The event will focus on the ongoing challenges faced by the global supply chain and will explore its impact on a national and regional level. Keynote speakers include the CEOs of Breeze Air, Regent, and Taco Comfort Solutions. Breakout panels will cover topics such as global canal management and the influence of AI on the industry. Representatives from MassPort, the US Commerce Department, and the state of Rhode Island will also be in attendance.

Bryant University President Ross Gittell, Ph.D., emphasized the importance of quick responses to supply chain disruptions, stating, “As a thought leader in global trade and business strategy, Bryant is proud to host some of the region’s most influential business and government leaders to collaborate on solutions for maintaining business competitiveness and a strong economy in Rhode Island and the New England region.”
