Milwaukee Bucks player Patrick Beverley has been suspended for four games without pay by the NBA for his actions during and after Game 6 of their first-round series against the Indiana Pacers.

During the game, Beverley was seen throwing a basketball at Pacers fans, hitting one in the head, and then aggressively throwing the ball back at another fan. He continued to engage with fans behind the bench before the situation was defused by teammates and others. Beverley was not ejected from the game but did not return as the Bucks were down by 20 points at the time.

In a statement on his podcast, Beverley acknowledged his actions were inappropriate and expressed regret for his behavior. He mentioned that his reaction was triggered by comments made by fans, although he did not disclose the specifics of what was said.

Additionally, Beverley was also suspended for his interaction with ESPN reporter Malinda Adams after the game. He refused to answer her questions in a media scrum because she did not subscribe to his podcast. Beverley later reached out to Adams to apologize for his behavior.

The Indianapolis police are investigating the incident between Beverley and the Pacers fans, reviewing video footage from the arena and planning to speak with all parties involved. It is unclear if criminal charges will be pursued.

Beverley, who is set to become an unrestricted free agent this summer, will serve his suspension at the beginning of next season.
