Bulldog Tennis Teams Ready to Make a Splash in NAIA Tournament

The McPherson College men’s and women’s tennis teams have made history by both qualifying for the NAIA National Championship this week in Mobile, Ala. This marks the first time since 2019 that both Bulldog teams have earned a spot in the prestigious tournament.

The men’s team, seeded No. 18, is no stranger to the postseason as they captured their ninth-straight KCAC Tournament title. They will face off against Lindsey Wilson College, the No. 15 seed, in their first-round match. Lindsey Wilson comes into the contest with a 14-5 record and will be a tough opponent for the Bulldogs.

On the women’s side, McPherson College secured the No. 21 seed, their highest since 2017. They will take on Union College (Ky.) in the first round. The Bulldog women are looking to make history by advancing to the second round for the first time in school history.

Both teams are set to compete on Tuesday, with the men playing at 9:00 a.m. and the women following at 1:00 p.m. Bulldog fans are eagerly anticipating the outcome of these matches as the teams aim to make their mark in the NAIA National Championship.
