Business Facilitation Centre Issues Over 1,000 NOCs

Commissioner Syed Naveed Haidar of Gujranwala Division has announced that over 1,000 NOCs have been issued by the Business Facilitation Centre, highlighting the government’s efforts to promote commercial and business activities in the region. During a review of the centre’s performance, Commissioner Haidar emphasized the importance of economic development and prosperity through streamlined processes for businesses.

The establishment of business facilitation centres in major cities of Punjab has made it easier for institutions to obtain necessary NOCs without delays, reducing the hassle for businessmen and investors. Commissioner Haidar urged the officers and staff of the Business Centre to enhance their performance with more responsibility and professionalism.

The Business Facilitation Centre Manager, Syeda Quratul Ain, reported that out of 1,156 applications received, 1,008 NOCs had been issued so far, showcasing the efficiency of the centre in facilitating business operations.

In a separate development, the district administration has cracked down on shopkeepers selling roti at higher prices than those fixed by the Punjab government. Assistant Commissioners and Price Control Magistrates conducted raids in Gujranwala and Wazirabad districts, imposing fines on 38 shopkeepers and arresting six individuals. Three hotels and tandoors were also sealed during the crackdown.

Additionally, the CIA police successfully busted a gang involved in car theft incidents, arresting two members and recovering four stolen cars along with cash. These swift actions demonstrate the authorities’ commitment to maintaining law and order in the region.
