The village of Cassadaga recently played host to a small business expo at Valley Outdoors, where current and aspiring entrepreneurs gathered to network and promote local businesses. Organized by the Cassadaga Community and Business Alliance in partnership with the Small Business Development Center at Jamestown Community College, the event brought together vendors, prospective business owners, and consumers for an afternoon of collaboration and support.

Valley Outdoors, located at 16 S. Main St. in Cassadaga, served as the perfect venue for the expo and has also become the home of the newly established Village Welcome Center. The event featured a variety of organizations offering support services to help entrepreneurs start and grow their businesses, including the Small Business Development Center, Small Business Administration, Pursuit Lending, and more.

Attendees enjoyed food from Super Duper Catering and drinks by Taylor & Tonic, adding to the positive atmosphere of the event. Cassadaga resident Judith Garncarek described the expo as a “positive event” with “awesome food and drink,” while founding member Susan Asquith called it “a great success.”

Asquith expressed gratitude to Courtney Curatolo and her team from the Small Business Development Center for their efforts in making the expo a reality. She emphasized the importance of supporting businesses in the community and creating opportunities for residents, businesses, and visitors to thrive.

Overall, the small business expo at Valley Outdoors in Cassadaga was well-attended and received positive feedback from participants, highlighting the importance of community support for local businesses.
