The Greater Franklin Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for several exciting events in the coming weeks.

First up, the chamber will be celebrating the grand opening of Home Run Burgers and Fries with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on May 30 at 2 p.m. This event is sure to draw a crowd as city officials and chamber members come together to welcome this new business to the community.

Following that, the chamber’s Young Professionals Network will be hosting a networking event on June 4 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Career-minded individuals between the ages of 21 and 40 are invited to attend this open house-style evening at the Lounge at Garment Factory Events. Snacks will be provided, and registration is appreciated but not required.

In other news, Duke Energy has selected Aspire Johnson County, along with Life In Indy and Festival Country Indiana, to be part of its 2024 Partnership Program. This program provides funding for marketing and strategic efforts to attract new jobs and investment to the communities Duke Energy serves. Aspire Johnson County will use the $5,000 grant to launch a digital advertising campaign aimed at attracting talent to the region.

Lastly, Franklin College graduate Jackson Ailstock has joined Catalyst Public Affairs Group as a government affairs associate. Ailstock, who graduated with a bachelor’s degree in history, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team after working on campaigns and at the legislature.
