The integration of cameras in commercial vehicle fleets for video-based solutions is a major trend in the fleet telematics sector, with North America leading the way.

According to Berg Insight, the installed base of active video telematics systems in North America is expected to reach 11.7 million units by 2028, growing at a compound annual growth rate of 19.0 percent. In Europe, the installed base is forecasted to reach 3.1 million units by the same year, growing at a rate of 18.0 percent.

The market is served by a variety of players, including specialists in video telematics solutions, general fleet telematics players offering video options, and hardware-focused suppliers providing mobile DVRs and vehicle cameras. Among the leading players are Streamax, Lytx, and Samsara, each excelling in their respective categories.
